Reports & Feasibility Studies

Art in Partnership researches and prepares reports for public art strategies and provides indicative costs for public art programmes. Our consultancy work has included writing and contributing to the following reports and feasibility studies.

South Tyneside Transformation of Town Centres, 2004:
Report and Action Plan for South Tyneside led by urban designers Ironside Farrar.

The Scottish Executive Architecture Policy Unit, 2002:
Commissioned to draft advisory paper for Ministers on Percent for Art.

Booktable Exhibition for the Scottish Parliament Visitors Centre, 2001:
Devised and organised by Art in Partnership showing the progress of the building of Scotland’s new Parliament.

Castle Street, Edinburgh, 2001:
Feasibility study. Member of design team with Gillespie and Gehl Architects.

Aberdeen Beach Project, Environmental Improvement Scheme, 1998/99:
Feasability Study for involving artists in an environmental improvement project; funded by Aberdeen City Council, Grampian Enterprise and The Scottish Arts Council National Lottery.

Buchanan Street Public Realm Project, Glasgow, 1997:
Art in Partnership was invited to contribute toward a proposal for the regeneration of one of Glasgow’s most important streets, and was part of the winning team led by Gillespies, selected from an international competition. Design Proposal: Stephan Balkenhol. (project not realised).

A Strategy for a Programme of Art-Led Environmental Improvements in the A189 Road Corridor, Northumberland, 1996:
Northumberland County Council.

An Artistic and Cultural Programme for the Millennium Forest for Scotland, 1996:
The Millennium Forest for Scotland Trust.

The Cowgate Report, 1992:

An Outline Strategy for Public Art in Falkirk and Grangemouth Town Centres, 1992:

The Strategy for Public Art in Cardiff Bay, 1990:
Cardiff Bay Development Corporation. Arts consultancy team with PACA, PADT, Andrew Knight Gallery & Welsh Sculpture Trust.
